Local Air Pollution in Fast Developing Countries

چکیده
The non-linear chemistry, responsible for ozone formation poses problems in developing an optimized abatement strategy. Estimates of emissions are often quite uncertain, e.g. in estimates of biogenic emissions and car emissions. Effective abatement should be based on a careful evaluation of local conditions regarding oxidant formation. Some control strategies are effective in one place, but not in another. A good example offers control by means of limiting of hydrocarbons. This strategy is not effective in regions where large emissions of biogenic hydrocarbons are encountered.

Tourism Impact on Air Pollution in Developed and Developing Countries
T he main purpose of this paper is to investigate and compare the impact of tourism on air pollution in selected developed and developing countries during the period of 1995-2014. To this end, at first, the model was designed based on the Environmental Kuznets Curve (EKC) assumptions and with the presence of the major influencing factors on air pollution along with the international ...
متن کاملDoes Foreign Direct Investment Harm the Host Country’s Environment? Evidence from China
As more manufacturing is moved to the developing countries, policy makers become concerned with the environmental consequence. Relatively lenient environmental policies in the developing countries may give them a comparative advantage in pollution intensive goods, and openness to trade and foreign direct investment might harm the host country’s environment. This study examines the relationship ...

Coronary artery disease is one of the main causes of mortality in most developed countries. There is also an increasing rate of mortality in developing countries where in addition to coronary artery disease, infection diseases still not have been controlled. Although, now a day coronary artery disease is responsible for half of deaths in developed countries, this regrettable event is increasing...
متن کاملAir pollution and population health: a global challenge.
"Air pollution and population health" is one of the most important environmental and public health issues. Economic development, urbanization, energy consumption, transportation/motorization, and rapid population growth are major driving forces of air pollution in large cities, especially in megacities. Air pollution levels in developed countries have been decreasing dramatically in recent deca...
